“The situation in Pakistan is truly dramatic”

The situation in Pakistan is truly dramatic. NGOs and Muslim leaders refuse emergency aid against coronavirus to Christians.
The complaint is from Cecil Shane Chaudhry, Executive Director of the National Justice and Peace Commission, who speaks of announcements by religious organizations and mosques addressed to Christians so that they do not come to ask for food and other aid.

According to the latest reports, there are 32,819 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan, although Chaudhry believes that many others are not reported. The head of the Justice and Peace Commission appeals to the Government to consult with minorities to make better use of the census data in order to allocate aid to the most vulnerable.

“Despite we’re working on plans, so far we are not aware of any initiative that includes members of religious minorities to ensure that their needs are not ignored,” concludes Chaudhry.
Christianicide is a sad reality, especially in this moment of emergency it is important to help eachother and not exclude anyone.

Steadfast Onlus is ready to report the abuses and the violation of the human rights, which take place against our Christian brothers.
